Our Story
Hooked on RVs began with two lifelong adventurers—one raised in tents, the other in trailers—who shared a love for travel, dogs, and the open road. When the world hit pause during COVID, they asked the big question: What now? The answer? Hit the road.
They packed up their lives, bought a travel trailer, and set off across the country in search of scenic views and a place to call home. But the deeper they got into RV living, the clearer it became: freedom on wheels comes with a lot of maintenance. And not just the occasional fix—real, ongoing care before, during, and after every trip.
Gretchen, co-founder and resident problem-solver, retired and dove headfirst into mastering the mechanics of RV life. With Russ cheering her on, she tackled every repair with grit, curiosity, and a set of pink tools. She didn’t just want to fix things—she wanted to understand them, and help others do the same.
That drive led her to hands-on RV technician training and ultimately to launch Hooked on RVs: a mobile service built for RVers who want confidence, clarity, and support on the road. Whether you're DIY-curious or just need a reliable backup, They're here to help you try catch problems before they catch you—so you can stay focused on what really matters: YOUR next great adventure.

Whether she’s elbow-deep in a repair or teaching fellow RVers how to tackle their own maintenance, she brings bold energy, practical know-how, and a passion for empowering others. She’s the one who turns “I have no idea what that valve does” into “I’ve got this.”

Russ isn’t just part of the crew—he’s the engine that keeps it running. From scheduling and sourcing to making sure the right parts show up at the right time, he’s the guy behind the curtain with a sixth sense for logistics and a low tolerance for inefficiency. If something’s running smoothly, Russ probably had something to do with it.

He’s Gretchen’s partner, her driver, and her biggest supporter when the road gets rough. With a tool in one hand and a joke in the other, he brings laughter, strength, and steady calm to every twist and turn of RV life.
He’s also the voice of reason when Gretchen wants to add “just one more neon accent.” And if you hear someone say, “That’s not how Russ would do it,” you’re probably about to get a better plan.
Without his unwavering support, Hooked on RVs wouldn’t be rolling at all.

Pixie, the elder stateswoman (by five years),
